Kirkland Coconut Oil Lawsuit

The primary product in the lawsuit is Long Island Dehydration Milk. This product is meant to be used on the top of the coconut shell to hydrate it. You might be wondering why this would be an issue. The answer is quite simple. This type of product is different from other creams or lotions on the market.

The US FDA does not approve any type of lotion, cream or face wash for consumption. They do allow food additives, which includes artificial sweeteners and flavors to be put on food. This is how the long life of your skin is affected. If you are going to use a product like this one, which isn’t approved by the FDA, you run the risk of getting prosecuted and this could cost you many thousands of dollars.

So, what is the real story behind the Kirkland coconut oil lawsuit?

This company has settled the suit and it should be known that they are fully liable for their actions. The reason they settled is because they realized they were deeply in debt and couldn’t afford a legal battle.

The complaint states that Long Island Dehydration Products knew there were problems with their product but sold it anyway.

Even though the company knew the ingredients were not safe, they continued to sell it. The ingredients in question are indeed harmful. Long Island Dehydration Milk contains ethylene oxide and propylene glycol, two ingredients that cause severe damage to the body over prolonged periods of use. Also, they had no knowledge that the ingredient Ethylene oxide causes cancer!

The Coconut Oil lawsuit was filed against Long Island Dehydration products, Inc. and it was settled out of court without a trial.

As a result of the lawsuit, the company has paid over one million dollars to settle the case. The settlement was actually made on an expedited basis, which means the money won will be received pretty quickly.

The settlement was made without the need of a trial because the plaintiff and defendant can both agree without the need of a judge and jury. You too could easily win a lawsuit for any type of health care related issue or injury caused by a poor product. But first you must locate a good lawyer and win your case.
