Corey A. SMITH

At the trial, the prosecutor presented a number of compelling arguments in support of the defendant, including the argument that there was insufficient evidence to convict him. In particular, the attorney argues that Grant’s testimony was not credible. Although Smith had admitted selling crack, Grant was a convicted felon and admitted drug dealer. Grant’s credibility was vital to Smith’s conviction because he was the only witness who called Smith to the park and gave testimony about the details of the first conversation.

In court, the prosecutor presented evidence gathered through expert testimony and analysis of the vehicle’s infotainment system. The infotainment system showed that the vehicle was at the Styvestant Charter apartments at the time of Dixon’s shooting. In addition, a state police investigator testified that Smith was driving a Dodge Durango when he was arrested in New York City.

Kendall Coffey

Grant Smith has retained the legal services of Miami-based attorneys Kendall Coffey and Robert Buschel to defend Stone. Coffey was previously the US Attorney for South Florida, where he fought for the custody of Elian Gonzalez, who was spirited to the United States from Cuba. He’s also brought on Bruce Rogow, a longtime Trump attorney who has argued 11 cases before the US Supreme Court.

As a partner in Coffey Burlington, Miami-based attorney Robert Buschel focuses on representing clients who are under investigation by government entities. He defended Broward Elections Supervisor Miriam Oliphant after her election-related misconduct in 2002. Robert Buschel has also written a political thriller entitled By Silent Majority, and he previously worked at the Rothstein firm. Grant Smith, a former associate of Rothstein, is another well-known Miami-area attorney. He is the son of former Democratic Florida Rep. Larry Smith and has run his own lobbying firm and was a manager at Rothstein’s law firm.

Bruce Rogow

Bruce Rogow is a founding professor of law at Nova Southeastern University Law Center. He taught at the law school from 1974 through 2014 and was co-dean from 1978 to 1979 and acting dean in 1984. Before joining Nova, he taught at the University of Miami where he taught subjects such as Civil Procedure, Federal Jurisdiction, Constitutional Law, Appellate Practice, and Criminal Law. During his years at the law school, he was a member of the Lawyers Constitutional Defense Committee and represented civil rights workers from 1964 to 1966.

According to reports, Stone’s legal team has been expanding with the addition of new attorneys to defend him. Rogow, a constitutional law expert, was formerly a top attorney for the Trump Organization in Florida. However, the legal team’s work with the Trump campaign has ended, as Rogow is no longer representing the president. Rogow is reported to have encouraged Stone to take polygraph tests, which he did. According to CNN, he passed two of them.

Roger Stone

The defense team for Roger Stone is working to defend the longtime adviser to former President Donald Trump against a subpoena to testify before a House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. According to ABC News, Stone’s attorney is arguing that the president is not entitled to force his client to testify in any criminal investigation. This defense strategy relies on Stone’s Fifth Amendment rights, which protect him against self-incrimination.

Stone’s legal team also includes Bruce Rogow, a constitutional law expert who specializes in representing clients under investigation by the government. Additionally, Stone’s legal team includes former US Attorney Kendall Coffey, who defended Corey Lewandowski after being accused of battery against a female reporter during the 2016 campaign. Another attorney in the team is Bruce Rogow, who has represented Trump’s golf club interests and argued 11 cases before the US Supreme Court over the course of his career.
